Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
TripHuddle helps families and friends plan trips together. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address.
- Trip details you or your group add: trip names, dates, places, flights, stays, cars, restaurants, activities, lists, costs and chat messages.
- Details about people on a trip: names, whether someone is a child, and, if added, phone, email, dietary needs, emergency contact and passport expiration month. Only you and the trip organizers can see your private details.
- Purchases: whether you have a plan or trip pass. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card number.
- If you connect Gmail: we read only travel confirmation emails you choose to import, and store only the booking details (for example airline, flight number, times, confirmation number), not the email itself.
How we use it
To run the app: show your trips to the people on them, find gaps in the plan, send notifications you've turned on, and process purchases. We don't sell your information and we don't show ads.
Who can see your trip
People invited to a trip can see it. Organizers can limit some guests to only the plans they're part of. Flights and the group chat are visible to everyone on the trip.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database and sign-in), Resend (sign-in emails), RevenueCat (purchases), Expo (notifications), Open-Meteo (weather), Viator (tour listings) and Anthropic (suggestions). They process data only to provide their service to us.
Booking links
Some plans have "Book on…" buttons for partners like Viator, GetYourGuide and OpenTable. We may earn a commission when you book; your price is the same. When you tap one, you go to the partner's site and their privacy policy applies. We record that you tapped it (which partner and which plan) to understand what's useful; we don't receive your payment details.
Your choices
- Edit or delete anything you added.
- Leave a trip at any time.
- Delete your account in the app: Account → Delete my account. This deletes your account and the trips you created.
- Disconnect Gmail or Google Calendar at any time.
Children
TripHuddle accounts are for adults. Parents can list their children on a trip; children don't have accounts.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app.
